Actually, I've never been away, but have neglected this blog site. Have decided to drop my web host and while I decide whether to simply use this, along with Facebook, to communicate with my readers, I will try to be more faithful to posting my information here.
This year (2010) I've had three books released (well, two with one to be released within 10 days). In July, Cornelius The Orphan, a historical fiction/adventure novel based on one of my ancestors, was released. This is the first book of a continuing series on this family. The second book, which I will begin writing in 2011, will be titled Samuel The Pioneer. The third book, Hatevil The Nomad is in the research stages. There may be others in this series if I live long enough to get to them--so many books to write, never enough time to write them all.
In October the final book of the Ellis Family suspense thrillers, The Capablanca Variation: The End Game, was released. While it is the third and last book of this series, In the epilogue, I did set up the possibility of a new series staring Jennifer Ellis, along with her friends SNSA (Spanish) Agent Remei Savall and FBI Agent Blair Fontaine.
Within 10 days from this post, the second book of the children's chapter book series The Adventures of Quinn Higgins: Boy Detecitve--The Case of Bigfoot on the Loose will be released by White Heron Press. The first book The Case of The Missing Homework received great reviews and lots of positive feedback from readers.
Am currently working on another children's chapter book Charles of Colshire Castle: The Purple Dragon and in January 2011 will begin the third book in the Quinn Higgins series The Case of the Haunted House.
Am also currently writing the third book of the Webb Sawyer mysteries Swan's Landing. The Webb Sawyer mysteries are set on the Outer Banks and the Albemarle Sound area of northeast North Carolina. For my Webb Sawyer fans, I know I'm not writing them fast enough, but as the old saw promises, absense makes the heart grow fonder.
Thanks for reading and if you have any questions, please ask them here or find me on Facebook for a more instant reply.
Enjoy the upcoming Thanksgiving Holidays,
Douglas Quinn
